Give Issei a bit of slack since the anime didn't real do it justice of his struggles with his literal first girlfriend(Raynare) murdering him. It was done much better in the light novel and manga.

Compared to issei, he's far more tame. Then again, any normal person compared to issei is tame. For their interactions, it seems fine. I just have to tell myself this is dxd so softcore is expected.
