My headcannon is that Sukuna being Yuji's vessel when he was first introduced to cursed energy, causes Yuji's cursed energy reserve to be a lot larger than normal. It only makes sense, he can get rct just from sukuna healing using his body and able to affect the soul just from his sukuna's soul being in his body, there's no reason his storage space for cursed energy can't be affected by the very thing that awakened and used it.

I wonder if instead of strengthening a different shikigami, you can use a large amount of chakra/cursed energy to recreate a shikigami. Like the technique gives you an option for you to get a stronger shikigami or you could recreate it instead of using the death to strengthen a shikigami. We've never seen a person actually try not to strengthen it, Sukuna could care less and really only need Mahoraga, Megumi probably didn't have enough cursed energy for a recreation to even be possible, not to mention Megumi really didn't take good advantage of gojo's willingness to help and his own busted technique, I'd be surprised if he wouldn't view such recreation as impossible and simply not even think of it as an option.

Do you know how much of a menace Odin was? I doubt someone would be dumb enough to try Odin after seeing what he’s done to the rest.
