I'll be honest, my separation between the two trains of thought weren't that good

Its body was massive, easily the size of a two-story house. It laid with its four legs tucked under its green-scaled belly. At its back were two draconic wings folded above the water so as to not get wet. With a guttural growl, the wyrm's long, serpentine neck wiggled, the horned head at the end flitting out a forked tongue as its beady yellow eyes rolled around in its sockets, adjusting their vision. A leathery, white-skinned pouch at its throat bulged, indicating where it stored its deadly venom.

Fair point. The word "wyrm" has often been used for young dragons. Admittedly, when I first wrote that, I was kind of joking about things, like "this is so NOT what I was expecting". Still love the story either way

Ah. Thank you!

"Of course!" Eisen chuckled as he stepped out of the small clearing, looking up into the trees to look for bird nests. It didn't take too long for him to find one, and luckily it wasn't too far up. Since Eisen wasn't an idiot that would walk into monster-infested woods without a weapon, he had his sword over his shoulder, which he quickly used to knock the nest out of the tree, and to his delight, it was filled with half a dozen eggs, just a little bit smaller than a chicken's.

Ooh, interesting! I didn't even think about that! That's quite possible

Launcelot raised his hand to stop her. "No, I will do it. I have my honor as a Lakely to uphold, and a Lakely does not back down from challenges."

Yep. I'll let you know as well.

The lower half of her body's scales were thickly plated and black in color, tapering off into roughly hewn edges that flickered with shimmering shadows. Her claws were long and curved like reaper's scythes, and her tail ended in a cross formation of large, spear-like bony spikes that glowed lightly green with venom.

Unfortunately not. I've burnt myself out, so I haven't really been working on the drawings.

Or perhaps the master itself cannot leave, just as the dragon could not. We shall find out in time, I suppose.

It guarded for someone. A close friend, as Tia said, or, as Li could surmise, its master. And it was evident that the master still resided within the mountains itself.

"forwards" works just was well as it's singular here.

"Someone has to deal with them, and I shudder to think how this guild would be were it to be you," said Sindra as she stepped forwards, wreath tentatively placed between her hands.

I suppose so?

Her heartbeat, her breathing, even the glow within her eyes. She was doing her best to look composed, but there was no fooling Jin-Woo's sky-high Perception.

Not totally far off, but this kind of thing used to be really common, when sheet music wasn't a thing. If you have a bunch of people who play by ear to begin with, they can pick up on the songs around them, and play. It's really beautiful to hear.

The bards and troubadours hired for the festival listened intently, their eyes closed in bliss at being given the chance to hear lost song form, and soon, they nodded to each other, figuring out the tune of the song and beginning to play their own songs on their own instruments, not overshadowing the priests, but complementing them.

Except better 😁

Then, the song truly blossomed into nature. They began to make sounds that none would have believed could come from human vocal chords. They mimicked the sounds of the forest, the twitter of birdsong, the whistling of wind, the crashing of waterfalls, the gurgling of streams, the chatter of animals, and all of it coalesced together in a wondrous harmony of orchestral scale.
