These things seem so stupid and pointless to me, it's happened several times already, some characters see Goku perform the incredible and when he does something also incredible but less impactful they are more surprised, as if the previous one were less incredible.
The author is quite ignorant; physically speaking, it's boys who develop more during adolescence. Oh, and mental development is more related to how children are raised than to gender.
The novel is garbage. It could have been decent, but the stupid author had to do nonsensical things to increase the drama. How the hell would someone with the protagonist's power be relegated to the role of a common soldier just because his power is so brute?
