that is the oc insert it comes with the territory of the writing a fanfic, but if an author adds a dozen or so OC's and start giving them key rolls in the ff then he might as well write a og story, no one reads a fanfic for the oc's they love the IP it came from and want to see more of it, like in this(oc insert) case it is the interaction of the oc-i with the characters of the show, all in all the more oc's you have the worst it is for the ff and the more key rolls are given to oc's the worst it is.
