You mean Miraj...

"I will make them add you to all my portraits one day, Chonky. Let's go and get my mother now." He muttered as he walked back home. The Pope's Palace was half an hour's walk away from Bright Mother's complex.

I understand completely, this is an amazing novel you've made, regardless. You already have me hooked. If anything, because we don't know much about his past or about the laws of the world at this point, you could easily say it's not allowed to be talked about with classless people or maybe that used to be an old law but news doesn't get around too often to the outskirts which is why his town didn't reach it...but then there's the issue of the GM (but maybe he didn't really care to enlighten people and no one asked him anyways), you could still patch it all up. You could also casually mention in a future chapter where MC is doing some retrospection and how he realized (but didn't tell us) he wouldn't know where to begin looking for clues and we know with his personality how go with the flow this guy is. There's also the route of his dad told him not look into it but you would think a kid that was so excited wouldn't listen anyways and he's not even close to his dad so that one is a bit ...loose. There's also the option of saying the old GM thought it best to not tell the residents of the town anything about classes, etc so they would be a blank slate for the guild to train, have no bad ideas, habits and they would be reliant on the guild so the guild would benefit or something like that. Maybe that old GM thought no one in the town would amount to anything and he knew that on the outskirts no one would care about his decisions or oppose them.

So his plan was to do the bare minimum?

I figured out something important early on: you probably only need to do your daily quest each day to reach level 20 in time, he thought.

I wonder when we'll see the point where MCs mindset changes and he starts to grind these things

In all honesty, I haven't been able to make as much progress as I'd like. The Defects outnumber humanity by a thousandfold, at least...and in my neighborhood, it seems even worse. This isn't some fair RPG either--this is real life...it seems like one, good hit from a Defect, and you're done. For now, I'll focus on my dailies.
