ik this was like a year ago, but grammatically that wouldn't work, you could change it to "over silly disputes for land". Alternatively you could change the sentence entirely and just go for a more "always ready to have skirmishes here and there over ongoing disputes for(over, to aquire) land" . There's many different ways to to tidy up the sentence.
The Republic was a multiracial council of several different races with elves at their head. Humans used to occupy a head seat at the council as well, but their secession was what created Soleil. Now, the two territories occupied a state of tense friendship, trading goods and diplomats but always ready to have skirmishes here and there over silly disputes over land.

if i remember right, when he was 10 levels below rose all his stats were close to 100 above hers and close to the 300's he has since gained 25 levels and gone through what is supposed to be a major buff and gained all of 25-50 stat points while she gained close to 100 in everything
