"Leave," Cane said simply, as he strode across the room to reach his mate. He already cleaned himself, there was no trace of blood on him, but the sight that Iris saw an hour ago would forever be engraved in her mind.

Okay that was gruesome. HOWEVER....could be on to something and have a theory in regards to Iris's memory. In the prior chapters, he tried to get Iris to remember what happened between her and Prince Kellan to determine why she was anxious and uncomfortable around him. Iris's thoughts earlier in the story always mentioned her locking away overly traumatic memories to where it doesn't trouble her and she forgets how things actually happened. So my point is, what if Cane offed Prince Vemion in front of her to see if she will forget it later on. If she does, then that would signal to Cane that Iris will tend to forget/ lock away horrible memories, and that it could have also happened with Prince Kellan. So she doesn't remember anything bad happening, but her body and actions will tell that something did. Side note: Our brains will hide traumatic memories, but will tell our bodies to remember the sensation to hopefully make us steer clear of what could cause us to relive the memories.

Prince Kellan didn't attend the new year's dinner, thus it could be said as the first time she saw him. When he noticed Iris staring at him, he turned around to look at her. She felt a chill run down her spine when their eyes met and immediately averted her gaze.

What if he's the boy from her memory, and what if what he did to her is why he was stripped of his title because her dad found out?!?! This is all speculation, but man are these upcoming chapters going to be interesting if it's true.
She stared at him because she felt dreadful at the sight of him, as if they had met before, which most likely happened when he visited the Blue Moon pack. It was like a distant memory, which she couldn't remember.

When Eve's eyes met Vincent's as she continued climbing the stairs, the faint smile on her lips started to grow. She saw how Vincent looked at her as if she was the only thing that was true in this world. He stretched his right hand forward when she got closer. Once her hand slipped into his hand, he raised it to his lips and kissed the back of her hand.
