I manage to hold Quentin back as everything clicks into place in my brain. Sam wasn’t just a bad apple, he was Silas’ long lost brother, who apparently got his hands on an enchantment to make himself look a lot younger than he was. He must have been playing the long con on us all.

We all head to the front door and when we open it, Sam is standing there with a knife to Mina’s throat. I don’t see any reinforcements, but his rogue followers could be lurking anywhere in the woods around us. I survey the area, noting the location of our camp and any sounds or sights that could give me an idea of how to proceed.
