He won't stand his ground, which is quite sad. He seems very reactinoary, rather than doing anything. He will most likey gain strength because people are taking away his freedom , rather than seeking it out. Also, I was wrong against the slave statement. He has slaves, so that's that I guess.
Okay, I understand the person he is now. He wants personal freedom. He will not have slaves, but rather willing followers. I hope that he sticks with this philosophy , I don't mind others but consistency is nice.
The spirits seem to be tropes , which isn't necessarily bad. It's going to be quite hard to make this piece stand out however. I hope that to enact the freedom saught, the main character isn't forced into altercations. The lilith situation seems like an easy way into the r rated chapters, but I hope that there is fleshing out of characters rathers than being mear personifications of list, nature, swordsmanship, etc.
Freedom is the purpose of this life, yet what is freedom? The full enactment of ones will? To not be tethered by others, as you cannot truly be free if you not fully independent. How can he truly be free if attached to his spirits, or rather vise versa, and is dependent on them. I think that the freedom that he is looking for is one of not being inhibited by others, and to do so he must have strength.
It's not the strong who survive. It's the survivors that are strong, unless you get carried by an op mc
