Damn, this shit is edgy as hell, the author is so focused on making "Issei" (in name only) look so badass with a sad past, that that's his whole personality, and the best, the author tries to use your past as an excuse. And the characters, ugh, he seriously tries to make people hate or find the other characters annoying (they're understanding if you don't have 14 year old chunni and emo eyes), he tried to make changes to the other characters to suit the story, and nor did he notice how this affects his entire plot. Vali for example, the author tries to keep that personality of a rival who believes in red vs white, when it wouldn't make a shred of sense in this narrative, in this universe of the Author, Vali was welcomed by Sirzechs and Grayfia, two excellent parents, and Gayfia is a mother figure that should fill Vali's mother's absence, they are the total opposite of Azazel when it comes to children, but it doesn't seem to have had the slightest change, it just got worse, only because the author needs to give rivals just for Issei to play for the author say "He's OP, that's cool and it clearly says the character is well written!". Also, looking forward to seeing Issei tell his "my parents are dead, my life is the saddest" story, only for all the ORC and Vali to laugh and say "welcome to the beginning of shit, next step, get spanked when you're only 8 years for nothing, later", seriously, anyone who has read the canon of DxD, knows that any member of the ORC has a childhood story more fucked up than this, it's pathetic for the author to throw their past to the sidelines just to masturbate "Issei". And the narrative and flow of the story is horrible, but what do you expect from a guy who copies the canon of other stories, changes the characters' names, and says "My story!"?

The guy didn't even bother to give the original Satans a personality, they're just bags of meat to make the MC look more decent, we don't even see their interactions outside that MC's fight with the descendant of Beelzebub. And then there's Grayfia's OCness, her beating the future Satan? out of character right here, she wouldn't raise her hand to any descendants of Lucifer during her reign, but the author thinks it's funny for whatever fucking reason. And then there's Malebranche, all we have is the Canon Control C + Control V, not even to explore that properly he thought. The explanation of the MC's origin is stupid, because (in addition to not making sense) it makes him less of a person, and more of an artificial being, were we supposed to find this interesting? swear? Who likes to see that the MC is nothing more than an experiment? And it doesn't do anything with Rizevim, the guy who doesn't care about anything, raising a "son" that way, why would he do it? Rizevim doesn't care about anything in the end, whether the MC comes from a Goddess or not doesn't matter to him, and we see it right here, since Rizevim doesn't care about the MC's existence. Oh, and don't we forget the resolution of the final chapter, the MC leaving his name as a trophy for the Anti Satans? man, and everyone warned what the fuck that would be, and he went there and made it, we wanted a leader for the new hell, like Doctor Doom is for Lativeria, but no, the MC is incompetent even to be a leader, why make him one Lucifer then? make him a random member of the 72 pillars then, since he has no relevance as Satan.

MC is beta for not doing shit the whole novel, he prides himself on being a Lucifer, he doesn't do shit with that pride, at no time does he take redia of the situation or act like a character or a person, the underworld going to war and he there, standing there like an idiot, who takes control of everything is Sirzechs, friends, and the other members of the resistance. This lack of personality seems like a failed attempt by the Author to want to make those characters existentialist complex and profound (basically a nilist), but it failed, because these characters don't serve as MC, and we see that here, and their lack of action. What did the MC do during all the chaos of the race he so "cares about and is proud of?", nothing, Sirzechs and friends are the heroes, and the only ones who have any personality, and Sirzechs still has more chemistry with Grayfia than the MC (and no, it doesn't matter if he already has someone, he still has more chemistry with Grayfia). Yet the MC's idiotic preoccupation with bloodline purity, no one likes that shit, isn't a factor that should matter, the way one gets strong shouldn't matter. And then there's the fact that if Sirzechs and Ajuka team up, the MC dies in the blink of an eye, two guys from random bloodlines beat the son of Devil and Goddess...and should he be OP? People came to see Canon changes, character interaction, and a broader view of demonic society and the ancient houses of the 72 pillars before their destruction, but we don't have any of that, because the Author refused to show these aspects for the sake of make Sirzechs the center of attention, and his copy and paste from the Canon.
