Everest's height is measured as meters above mean sea level, but the foot of the mountain is on a plateau above 3km altitude. A much larger mountain on a plain of much lower altitude would still have a similar height measurement due to the altitude difference of the ground at the foot of the mountain. That 1100 meter difference is likely closer to a 3300 meter difference in the height measured from the foot of the mountain instead of above mean sea level.

Never engage in a fair fight. It is the stupidest thing you can do. Always arrange for your opponent to be weak and disadvantaged compared to your own force. This is not a game and your performance will not be scored according to your chivalry. It is life and death and the score will be counted according to the number of deaths. A perfect score is no deaths on your side and no survivors on the opposing side.
