Syryn inched closer to Rowan till he could feel the warmth from the anti mage pressing against his body. Rowan was solid, firm, and something about it made Syryn feel safer. An arm went around him and the anti mage caressed the back of his neck. Syryn closed his eyes and let Rowan lull him into sleep with his gentle touches.

Red wasn't hearing things. The sword was speaking to him. Lucien. And then the sword called him by another name. A name that Red had never been called by, and it brought a shiver of dread down his spine.

An unassuming bridge that connected the edges of a deep and wide crevice led them to a split off section of Helios where the dowager queen took residence. Syryn was enamoured by the pink leaved trees that surrounded a simple looking home. A circular pond reflected golden sunlight off it, the water rippling from the presence of insects that skated over its surface. It was peaceful here.
