I don't care that people were complaining about this forced quest. For me, it is what has made this novel more interesting. For a very long time, it seemed like the novel lacked an overarching plot or questline for our main characters to go through. That is, it was all the same boring, repetitive events of cultivation, progression and reaching the next stage. Now this quest adds elements of intrigue, suspense and something to look forward to. Even if it is "forced" or "mechanically introduced", it still makes this novel less bland and a lot more intriguing.

However, he did that in a wrong position, and his legs gave in right after. The Leopard next claws ended hitting, leaving behind a deep cut on his chest. The attack's force threw Rean back, making him bump on Inna.

What's the point of hiding? They cant do that for long, and Tribe members need to trust each other. Here they have agreed on this black orb system to help them find good warriors. Being transparent about who gets what color only helps.

I like how main character is transitioning from being presented as a perfect, op character in the beginning to a flawed one with weaknesses.

If you are a meat eater, it's just super weird and hypocritical to be squeamish when an animal is slaughtered in front of you.
