I really like this story. The translation quality is amazing, if the author didn’t say it was a translation I wouldn’t have noticed! review for the story content: I have to say that it’s quite interesting, when I first saw that there was going to be a simulation system I was rather disappointed, thinking this might become a cliche op mc who fixes everything, but I was proven wrong as the system aspect isn’t that prevalent throughout the story. Likewise the main character isn’t an overpowered individual who possesses no opponents, he has a reasonable strength alongside skills that others characters could come to possess. My favorite part though is how it explores and writes it’s characters and their interactions, there is also some nice character development so far, although the main characters personality hasn’t changed. (So far) Altogether, this makes for a nice reading experience!

Well, this story isn’t the best, it has a fairly good grammar quality and updating stability, which is rare on this site. So even if some things about it upset me I kept reading, however, near more recent chapters, outside of the blatant homophobia, it begins demonstrating excessive sexism, and “male supremacy”. I’ve read stories with sexist or homophobic characters before, and those were bearable due to the context and story development that explains why they became that way. Yet this story doesn’t truly have a compelling reason and feels more like an excuse for the main character to propagate needless cruelty. I would say this story concept was one with potential yet faltered with its execution and character development. Some parts honestly make me feel somewhat alarmed about the author’s mental health.

This novel is an utter gem compared to the dozens of other cultivation novels on this sight. The writing quality is great, and also fluently expresses the authors own writing style/flair. When I first say that there was a system involved I was prepared for disappointment to soon follow, however, I was proven wrong, the system isn’t a cheat that can grant instant powers for no reason, nor is it a tool for pushing the stories plot forward which is great. Furthermore all of the abilities the MC get are within the realm of reason minus a rather outlandish trope. At the very least, each of the ways in which the MC gains strength are shown/explained. It’s also nice that he makes logical decisions which sync with his character/personality. As far as world building goes there hasn’t been a whole lot of it, but what has been shown/ woven into the story so far is promising and holds great potential for future development. I am looking forward to new chapters!👍
