Wait. Wut? Wut just happened? How'd she get bloody fingers?
The piano moved. It's legs scratched the wooden floor, a mark that time couldn't fade so easily. The piano's fallboard was open again. The white keys were smeared red and it wasn't as noticeable on the black. Maya held her bloody fingers close to her chest. When Io Hara left the room, she broke in tears. How could she have known she had the same dream too?

Hmmm. Quite clever.
"We're being chased by poultry so the answer has to be duck!" Athalos explained his theory with the tone of infallible truth.

Because fried chicken is more delish than chicken feed LOL
"Why would you enrage them so?!" Athalos cried. His tears streamed down his feed-smothered face. Instead of prodding his staff, he held it like a mop and slid it in a line forward. "Why would you imbue them with fire?!"

Hahaha! There he goes again!
"Forgive me, Lady Maya." Athalos bowed his head. "But one of the perks of the unseeing actually has a disadvantage. A half-perk. It was folly of me not knowing so… My heightened sense of smell. So if you would please-"

1001 Ways To Die: Arrow through Nostril
But Maya had enough. Like a mule, she kicked behind and the sole of her boot met the arrow's feathered tip. The bat's nostril consumed the arrow shaft's entire length and the iron tip emerged from the back of its skull. Finally, it was dead.

LOL. This what happens when you have a dwarf built more for modeling skincare products rather than battle.
His smooth face was sweaty and seemed lathered in oil. The smoothness of his skin proved a boon for battle. The droplets of sweat had no ridges to follow on his face. He felt the sting of his pore's secretions on his bourbon eyes. He brushed his hands over them but those too were silky and slathered in sweat. His vision worsened and he felt his eyes pierced by a thousand bees.

Ohhh, boy.
But all of Athalos' efforts were unrewarded. The bat stood a few feet before him and watched in a tilted stare. Athalos had been fighting the cavern wall. Unknown to him, he would lose the battle of attrition against the rocky surface. He felt the burn of his muscles and slapped his thighs as strong as he would to a horse's bum. "Limbs do not fail me now! Victory is within my grasp!"

HAHAHA! Athalos is such a cuckoo!
"O comrades of the dark!" Athalos wailed in both grief and joy. He clung onto his staff like an old man held his cane dear as he stood on his feet. "What took you so long?! I, Athalos, lay battered and bruised by these—"

Bwahaha!
Graff shouted across the tavern to Miss Maple for drinks around the table. Frina went into a trance of strumming her lute. Athalos jived his shoulders but then picked his nose with his inked thumb; What an odd choice of finger thought the other three who decided to keep silent. Maya was ready to commemorate the moment and go all out and dance like a frenzied cat- as she had been told before- but the dwarf had more to say that had to get out of the way.

sound advice. By the trees we go then! 🌳🌳🌳
Graff spoke in the most sober voice he'd spoken all evening. "I always tell those under my wing to reach for dreams by the tree and not the skies. It's painful but it's grounded. The fall hurts less if the stars refuse to align. But maybe, seeing ye with the passion of the sun… Maybe I've been too used to plantin' me feet on the soil. How can I dismiss a powerful emotion like that?"

I want to rap her song, LOL. Somebody gimme a beat...
"Saved by a ranger! First time I thanked the heavens for a stranger. But wait, hold on, took a step back, there might be danger."

Bwahaha! Rapper pala!
But no, watch out! Not a time for bliss. Because a mean wolf comes straight outta the mist!"

Check 2nd to the last sentence. Might need words.
But Maya knew the stakes were higher now. Around half the crowd, while thankfully without coconuts to throw, consisted of adventurers with steel weaponry. And that wasn't all. The thought of Io Hara She downed her cup and slammed it on the counter. "Watch me, Athalos."

LOL. Such a baaad song HAHAHA
The bard, with widened teal eyes like an owl, stared at the room, eager to see their reaction. She found them silent and possibly stunned in awe. There was no negative reaction so again she strummed a chord like a chop of a butcher's knife and continued, "Muddy cute pigs. Thin and nothing to eat. They're really sad, oink-hu—"
