Rommel knew he was the son of an enemy's king, while Gabriel just knows he killed someone. There's no proof of what happened anyway (since the body "mysteriously vanished"). So while it's still a bit dangerous, he's definitely in a better position to keep Gab alive than he was with Rommel. The only possible problem is that with his personality, Gab could see it as "justice over friendship"..

Thanks for the chapter! I am looking forward to Mikhail chasing after Cass - I am sure she could do with some profitable salt mines ;). But I genuinely think they could be a good match, considering he seems to be a capable person, although I don't remember how it works out age wise? On another note, it seems that Greg could still be saved. He reminds me of Lucas, but a very very spoiled one (and he is not as awesome, naturally). Rosa does not seem to notice, but the whole fam is shaming him/his father for her. Her grudge might be the strongest, but she's not the only one who's unhappy with what he did. I have a hunch we'll see more of him in the future, so I am curious how that will go.

TFTC 🥰~ Great that we finally see what's up with Amar and Georgie. I also like how this chapter shows (much more than any of the previous ones) that Rosa really is just a child, even if the way she thinks usually seems quite mature. And finally, there's someone with both insight and common sense around her *Cass*. I love Georgie and all, but he is a bit confused how to treat Rosa and doesn't always catch onto what's up with her (since he doesn't have enough experience), and I think Rosa really needs someone to see through her a bit more.

Thanks for the chapter 💕~ Finally a less serious problem for Rosa. I am still a bit concerned for Amar and Georgie, but surely they will be fine (Gable and Frederick would not send them anywhere truly dangerous, right?). It's sad that Rosa still does not trust her parents and everyone else not to abandon her but I guess that's to be expected. The scars are still waaay too deep for that one. But it's nice that she finally let herself ask for help, however trivial and I just love the Lucas-Liliane duo (I totally ship they're grown up selves). Wonder what Freddie is doing in the meantime... but good for the offenders. Maria is a menace by herself and if even he joined in... Hmmm...

What... Are you saying he should just think 'If I die, I was such a loser there would be no point in living anyways'? or what's that supposed to mean. But we're more or less on the same page otherwise. Yes, he should keep on edge and yes, he shouldn't be going for 30 levels higher. My point was, things that'll keep him on edge at this point most likely don't warrant an elite weapon and definitely not 2 of them. But hey, whatever, I think this had long lost meaning. He needs to be alive to 'f the world'. And hunting challenging monstere but within bounds is way more effective than straight out going for high level, when it comes to improvement. It's steadier and while there's still plenty of risk, it's not completely unreasonable. It's not like he has some kind of time limit so he's free to take his time and build a proper foundation rather than rely on luck. The only reason he might want to hurry up are the people who want kill him but considering the fact they think he is dead and the overall quality of the goons they sent after him... that will not be an immediate problem either, as long as he's careful. And well, from what I remember he was amassing rent to afford a better living (although it's possible I've misunderstood).

But wasn't his reason for hunting living a better life in the first place? And it's not like he is immediately going to go up against monsters on the level of the previous one. He himself has admitted he was lucky to have survived that and stumbling into something high-level outside high-level areas is (said to be) unusual. Things on his level (or 'challenge but not a suicide' level) probably won't be able to break even weapons worse than elite (which are seemingly considered a luxury at his level) and he really has no reason to take on things that could.

Okay, but that doesn't mean the weapon has to be elite. If he used something less extravagant, he could have improved his sad living conditions (and with how terrible those are, it wouldn't even be suspicious that he saved up enough to do better), hunt with his newfound strength and eventually make enough money for a second elite weapon for his clone. He could do some market research too, and find out if he is or isn't being ripped of. He needed a lower quality weapon anyways, to use when others are watching so he could've just used that for the time being.

Quite honestly? I don't really like the idea of beating them up for betraying him. Rather... why bother with them? Beating them up is potential trouble, nothing gained and wasted effort. The only good thing it gives him is a sick sense of satisfaction... is that even a good thing? Killing them now does make sense. They actually tried to kill him and it's imperial that he finds out who employed them lest they get him first. And he doesn't want to let those idiots live so they can also plot against him, so that part I can agree with. But it's still a bit disappointing that he doesn't even hesitate or weight other options when deciding whether he should commit murder. Yes, they are scum. But he was so disgusted that they would take up a mission to kill someone and now he's like 'Murder? No probs.' And we get another run-of-the-mill sociopath mc.

Anyone else thinking it would be really cool if June's movie fails? I have nothing against June, but it could be a great plotwist and also help establish that not everyone can become a star director/ movie studio owner just because they try hard (because just reading about Will, his accomplishment does not look as great since we don't have any fails to compare with). It was said that many talented students and directors tried to emulate the 'camcorder horror' and June's idea isn't anything super original or interesting and neither has she studied movie-making for long, so it would actually make more sense for her to fail. I know that would pretty much cement the idea that June = negative, but we've already established that June = plot stalling, so... this could at least make me interested in what's going on around her? I was against yeeting June the last time we were asked but now I'm changing my mind. It would be great for the story if they broke up because she cannot take the imbalance in the relationship anymore as much as she loves him. None of us want to see Will fail professionally (at least I don't, it's wish fulfillment after all) but something not working out and being out of his control to fix would spice things up and make his plot armor less obvious. I would love to see June successful years down the line, but I'd much prefer it if they both found a better match (with longer development before getting into a relationship). At this point, I am more inclined to ship him with Alexia than June, even tho we've seen a lot less of the former, because her character seems to have more depths to explore.
