There were some crates nearby, that clearly held some ammo before, but most of them were for the big machine guns. I barely found a few boxes of 7.62 mm and 5.56 mm bullets, totaling around 200 rounds. To be fair, that was a lot of ammo compared to what we already had, but not enough in the long run. Definitely not enough if we're going to use weapons constantly, and judging from what I know about this world, we're eventually going to need them to fight off hostile survivors.

I wasn't particularly interested in drinking alcohol: I was a control freak, and having my body out of my control for however long doesn't sit well with me, so I would be surprised in myself if I ever drank any. But I still took a single bottle with me, in case I needed it to disinfect a wound. I didn't have much meds with me, I had no chance to take any without them noticing. I started looking under the counter, I found a few drawers, and thankfully, one of them did contain a pump action shotgun, along with a box with twenty ammunition. As far as I was concerned, this stop was already a huge success. I put them both in my inventory, from now on, I'm keeping a firearm there just in case, though I'll try to replace it with a handgun if I find any. I did make sure to load it before, so it could be ready to fire once I pull it out.

The rest of the trip was uneventful until we reached our destination: a store they hadn't hit before, as the previous one almost ran out of supplies. People bought a lot of things apparently just before the outbreak, as the news were concerning at the time, so it was understandable. I asked why we didn't loot the houses instead of the store, as it would be a lot safer, they told me it takes a lot of time to break into houses, you can make a lot of noises, and if you find a zombie might jump you at any moments if there are any. And since they still had the convenience stores, where all the resources were gathered, there was no need to loot the houses just yet.

But that wasn't the real reason why I was going there, was it? It was too peaceful here, and I needed to face the zombies, my only source of EXP. Not to mention, my inventory was still empty, and I needed to fill it with as much food as possible. I also needed more weapons. When it concerns weapons, all I had so far was two knives and my bat. And in case I was in a tough spot, aka held hostage or being robbed, pulling a weapon out of my inventory and surprising my enemy would be insanely effective. I think.
