I like how you delved a bit into his past. Always a good way to learn more about characters. Also, berries leveling him up was a pretty good way to do it. I'm wondering if he levels up from eating anything, or just berries though? I'm sure something else has to do it more since you made it pretty clear the effect lessens the more he eats. This also makes sense actually. If a concept is overused, which usually happens due to it being popular in the first place, it becomes a cliché, and a lot of people loathe clichés
And though I did exactly as my readers asked, apart from the first novel, I never found my books making it in the rankings.

What's popular does get the attention (and if you're doing it for money, then also the money) that you need, but then you're just doing what other people want, not what you want. And not doing something the way you want to can completely ruin the hobby for you. That's why my advice is always write what you want. Sure, it might not get you much attention, but you'll at least still be having fun while you're doing it. And you'll still find a fanbase overtime, albeit a bit more slowly
It was not because I hated writing. No, it was simply because of what I was made to write. Because I was catering to my readers, I slowly started straying away from what I truly liked writing.

As for the names of the months, they were named after the 12 heroes who fought against the demon invasion at the end of the second epoch. But that's another story, one I am not entirely aware of.

I like how you actually already know this stuff (or I'm assuming at least. It is your story after all lol), and yet you have the answers include the uncertainty of the protagonist if there is any, because they're his answers, not yours. That's a nice touch
A: I have a hypothesis, but I am not certain about this. It’s most likely because there were 12 powers so strong that others could barely challenge them. Moreover, even if the holder of one of the 12 ancient powers dies, a new one will take his/her place when the necessity arrives.

But my head felt dizzy again the moment I saw the face reflecting in the mirror. The face that showed up in the mirror was not mine, though it had some faint resemblance to my late teenage self. It was far more handsome. Be it the flamboyant scarlet hair or the distant scarlet pupil that was almost alien to me. There was a mark on the right eyebrow all the way to the end of the forehead. A cut mark from a knife, maybe.

When you're passionate about something you enjoy, you can definitely talk about it nonstop for hours, I'm sure we all can agree lol
I praised the author for creating such a fantastic fantasy world with vibrant characters and cursed at him for killing Ciara and Yeriel. I told him to limit the suffering of Scar and Edward, and when I finally stopped, I had already written quite a few paragraphs.
