i don,t know for which self entitled reason anyone would want to make world a peaceful place as for for your second point if i understand you correctly you want to say they use wanting to make world a peaceful place as front or as a mask to hide their true intentions so the reason is not hypocritical but the person is definitely a hypocrite.
Most people started cultivating to live longer, avenge someone, make the world peaceful, reach the peak for self entitled and hypocritical reasons or even some out of insecurity but purists did none of that.

you can,t really make the world peaceful by being weak. it,s as simple as that and i agree with you on the point in any of these cultivation novels anybody who will be a powerhouse will have his hands stained with blood and to make world a peace ful place you have to be the most powerful. suppose a hungry wolf comes in front of you and you are more powerful than it(in a cultivation world) then you can decide if it will live or die now suppose the reverse is true will it care that you want to make world a peaceful place no it will kill you and satiate it,s hunger so spouting noble ideal,s or goal,s matters little if you don,t have the power to make it a reality. and for power you will have to compete with others and to really compete you will have put your life on the line as well as take others if it is necessary even if you put taking other people lives as last resort you still have to take some. it,s a simple principle you need power to protect peace and for power you need to participate in conflict. so no i don,t think it is hypocritical. no matter how much noble of a person you are you have to speak with others in the language they understand and the language of cultivaton world is voilence and if you can,t speak in it or don,t want to speak in it no matter what you can,t make world a peaceful place.

He remembered looking into purchasing a Zanpakuto *sealed* and was shocked when he noticed the price was 130,000,000 OP. Awakened versions or the various releases noted in the anime cost even more. The most expensive being the leader of the Gotei 13, Captain-Commander Yamamoto Genryuusai's Ryūjin Jakka that cost 3,700,000,000 Origin Points! (A/N: That's a lot of OP)
