this is terrible pacing. youre in the middle of a fight and youre constantly talking about the system. you talk about gains when everything is done with, not while your character is supposed to be in the middle of important plot moments like a literal fight for his life like the past few chapters.

He knew well: the more questions asked, the more interest shown, the deeper one sank. Only complete disinterest ensured staying truly uninvolved.
