The bigger issue is that if she can't fight the creatures on the 3rd floor, logically she would die to those on the 4th. Furthermore, she could attract many creatures and she is saving a human who has most likely not even obtained an ability. How can she fight and protect against monsters possibly 2 "ranks" above her...
Because of this disappointment, it was refreshing to see Kathrine care for someone else and be desperate enough to risk rushing all the way to the hospital, up the stairs.

It seems more like he is a special cultivator that is strengthened by his emotions of fear and desperation. Just like master junades is with joy. The odyssey seed may have increased the threshold to feel these emotions with a higher impact as a result.
Under normal circumstances, this would frighten Nial, but since the Odyssey seed had awoken within him, fear and other common emotions that could crop up at any moment, or make his heartbeat erratically, were slowly being taken from him.

Might be the whole multiverse issue with the other books. Can't have one character progressing faster than others in regards to the timeline of events. we saw that briefly with the foreshadowing in the primordial dimension crossover with God's Eye. Also remember that this book takes place on Shima where Jason's journey has yet to lead him.

Does this mean that you can go into a basic, intermediate, or advanced dimension as long as you don't surpass the protective limit that keeps over powered individuals from reigning over lower dimensions? Not sure if it's a progression mechanism or a choice due to the dangers...
In the end, Shane was not scared about his world seed withering because he could simply enter a relatively secure Advanced-Dimension to absorb the mana there.

With his armor and weapon being upgradable, I don't think we will see much of him anymore.
