Started off strong and interesting. Sadly random injection of Journey to The West that was poorly executed made the story extremely boring and going in weird directions. Also the ending 💀💀💀. Absolute disgrace what the author did. They realized that they wrote their story to the ground and axed it.

Got extremely repetitive and boring. It also ended abruptly/prematurely and a lot of things I wish happened ended up not occurring within the plot. Quite disappointing. Maybe the author is breaking up the story into separate books?

Im also positive most of the reviews on here are bots.

This has to be the worst novel on this entire site. Genuinely what the hell is this? Horrid background setup. Baffling low IQ/EQ characters. Poor writing. Plot holes after plot holes. I have read a lot of bad novels on this site and elsewhere, but this is one is clear cut worst of the worst. Disappointing.

Great writing and translation. Sadly, the story itself is one of the most boring I have ever read. I’m sure I will never remember a single thing about the plot or any of the characters. Progression is painfully slow and MC is already one of the strongest in the world within dozens of chapters. It isn’t that he is OP, but that relatively everyone else is too weak. The background setting is basically a barren cultivation world where 90% of cultivators became extinct due to an ancient war and everyone left is weak as shit including the hidden experts. Reading the synopsis, I thought the MC would be powerful, and he is, but the setting made it severely underwhelming to say the least. There were no significant challenges at all within the first 300 chapters where I stopped reading because by that point, I had little hope the author could ever write anything exciting. Ling Tian barely fights anyone and he makes little progress in cultivation (I forgot they were even cultivators every other chapter). His two main harem love interests are generic. Somehow, the author wrote endless scenes on these two and their interactions with the MC just to have near zero character development. I guess a bad sign was when the author literally timeskips TEN years of the plot right after meeting the main love interest and taking her in. I looked through spoilers after dropping and will say that the plot looks to develop in a good direction. However, I have doubts seeing what the author was able to provide after almost half the novel.

MC gets cucked about a billion times and also forgives them lmfao. Lots of face slapping though.

Seems good so far, basically like ‘The Novel’s Extra’. Writing is fine except theres a little too much telling of thoughts rather than showing.

I really liked the slow and fleshed out romance. However I disliked how the MC’s entire life was centered around a girl. He would quite literally do anything for her including jumping off a cliff 1 week into their relationship. I mean, its kind of realistic for an 18 year old to be that down bad in their first relationship, but at the same time it was hard to read.

Wow, I am blown away. I’m writing this in the midst of a chapter, but I just couldn’t help myself. Everything about this is phenomenal, the background, plot, character design, and emotions are so well written. This is a already a true 5/5 in my opinion, hopefully it stays this good!

Completely agree, glad someone thought this as well. The choice of writing style makes the story awkward and difficult to read.

Can’t speak for the plot, but the writing style (not quality) is hard to read. Generally writing in first person makes it hard to write a fluid and succint story, writing it in the historical present makes it even harder to execute. Props to the author for trying but it just doesn’t work.

I almost dropped this novel, but I'm glad I stuck to it. This novel has impressed me with its originality and mysterious plot even if at first it seemed cliche. Only thing a bit annoying was the rare inaccuracies in pronouns, but otherwise it's a fantastic read so far!
