No, they don't.
Ves understood her argument, but couldn't completely wrap his head around it. The news was the news. Sometimes, they publicised something good, but they also had a duty to let the people know of things that didn't work very well.

I think of intelligence in terms of processing speed. Going back to the early days, we pentium CPUs. They were single core but had the capability of doing just about anything. Today, we have i9 processors with 16 cores. There are substantial improvements over the pentiums, but it boils down to being faster and capable of multitasking. Why is this important? While not necessarily an i9, Ves is like a high-end processor with at least 4 cores, possibly running overclocked. It doesn't make him smart, but he can process a lot of information quickly.

Given the volley and timing of the missiles, the smart play would be to accelerate toward them at an oblique angle. It won't prevent them from tracking, but it would impede their ability to hit all at once.
A handful of missileers among the Vandals launched their own missiles. The salvo released by them only numbered just above ten-thousand, an absolutely pathetic amount compared to what the Vesians threw at them. Hopefully, at least half of them would score a hit at the incoming Vesian missiles.

Evolution is an untested hypothesis. It talks a good game. Sounds plausible. In the end, it remains untestable. Everything claimed to be evolution has turned out to be mostly epigenetics in action, not mutation. Any example of mutation observed had been linked to loss in information, not gain. There has been no observation of new proteins being created through random combinations of DNA. What's most notable is that they still teach evolution as though it's a fact in school text books despite the fact that the principle scientists supporting the "theory" are calling for a new theory to replace it. There simply are too many problems with their model as advertised.
He Ao placed his faith in the results of evolution.

His biggest problem is that he doesn't see the big picture. There are reasons behind everything.
He was like a fly who got entangled in the web of a spider. Colonel Lowenfield would never let anyone go, least of all Ves. His only choice was to wait for an opportunity.

Worst case scenario, he's going to replace the aging senior designer
That caused Ves to subconsciously shiver. How did he attract the attention of such a legendary figure within the Vandals? His earlier word play against Professor Velten shouldn't have been significant enough to register on her radar.

At this point, I imagine Shi Yu casually picking his nose with a pinky finger and flicking a bogey toward his enemy.
"Is that all?" Shi Yu stood in the fire world in the air and watched as the Vermillion Bird super divine resonated with the Vermillion Bird faith without any ripples.

She was trying to give Ves a clue by working on the com array in front of him. The answer is to eliminate the pilots. Remote piloting the mechs will save a tremendous amount of resources.
The issue ended without any changes to the policies set by the Vandals. Ves was deeply disappointed at this outcome. It made him feel as if he wasted the entire week.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to read a Chinese web novel that wasn't full of mosquito meat, Oriol/mantis/cicada, and other references? Sure would be nice. They're practically obligatory!
Though they didn't reach a very wide audience, they formed an influential voice in certain communities. A mosquito's leg still contained meat, so Ves filled up his plate with as much of them as possible in order to substitute for a single chicken drum.

Lol! "Hitchups"
Ves thought about this problem and before and delivered a prepared response without any hitchups. Since most of the Crystal Lords made available consisted of lesser quality mechs, it was important for the LMC to highlight the usefulness of the smaller crystals.

No, it's not.
"Sure I did, but people always tell me there's no truth behind it. The military-industrial complex is a silly conspiracy theory!"

Cooking with Crystal Lord...
"Well, the Crystal Lord is actually a great product for the spoiled brats segment. Think about it. The models are all expensive high-spec machines with cook gimmicks that make it a natural hit among the rich kids that wants to pilot something distinct."

That's... provocatively worded...
"This has nothing to do with volunteering. This is about necessity. You want to put the best people in the most demanding position." Iris spoke and threw him a teasing smile. "As for me, even though I'm just a guest designer, I can still lighten some of your burden. Don't let idiotic regulations get in the way. Be resourceful and take me, sir."
