Just like that, before everyone's eyes, Ophis' form shifted. She grew. Where before she looked quite young, she quickly came to look the opposite — stunningly mature. Her features were still recognizable as the young girl from before. Only now, she was all beautifully grown up. A proper Christmas Cake — with a voluptuous figure and a regal aura — if I had to label her as anything.

She was even tinier than Becca. Long black hair the color of the Void hung behind her like a curtain, falling past her waist. Dark violet eyes, complete with infinite swirling irises if one looked close enough, stared out from an utterly blank face. She was beautiful and petite — clad in a fitting Gothic Lolita dress.

Everyone would eventually find their own ways of coping with the new knowledge. Of coping with the Eldritch Truth. It helped that Eldritch beings weren't as prevalent here as in Yharnam. They still existed. But almost as an afterthought rather than a core component and driving force of this reality.

It's for the best, in my opinion. I won't feel nearly as rushed and I might even be able to return to some of my older stories. I wanna go back to Goth Girls Galore and I have a new story idea that I want to get into when this story isn't taking up all of my focus.

I agree with you.
Also, pushing myself to keep up with the public release schedule is just running me ragged. I feel like I can't ever take a break, even when I need to. I'm determined to finish out this story (or at least get it to a satisfying stopping point where I can cut back my attention on it). So in light of all of that, I'm going to be pulling back the schedule to 2 chapters a week (Friday, Sunday).

Even 'utterly exhausted' didn't quite capture Kori right now. I doubt she'd given herself a single break since she'd been kidnapped. She was past running on fumes. Past running on empty. She was running way into negative reserves. But she was still standing tall like a beacon for the people who looked to her for hope.

Kara clearly wasn't happy with my Beast slaying but she couldn't argue it was unnecessary either. She settled for a constant frown, a bit sad and uncomfortable but still resolved to stick around through my story.
