I don’t get this trope because if your emotional state is out of whack then you brain capacity probably isn’t enough for your memories and consciousness. So authors should just pick either they have full capacity or nothing until they get old enough, it’s annoying when authors try and do both. I still like this fanfic though I just wanted to vent.

I don’t think even in the most optimistic sense that sakura could have ever stolen the spotlight from Naruto, maybe if she had an extensive rewrite then maybe but then she wouldn’t really be sakura just a better character in her skin.
I mean in the anime I thought I was going to get, you know, maybe someone like Mikasa or Erza or maybe Yoruichi, perhaps not maybe there can only be one of them. But even after she trained under Tsunade she was forced to be a Sasuke chasing fangirl whose whole personality revolved around Sasuke only done so that she doesn't steal the spotlight from the protagonist!
