I have an issue with the witholdment of pay. from the names, it seems that the characters r in the West. in this case, the "boss" does not control the pay. that process is automated and if there is witholdment at a large scale then it's a class action lawsuit. maybe this was possible 70-80 years ago but the presence of cellphone indicates this is not the case. this scenario is not plausible

isn't this a bad statement. who says others aren't willing to risk their lives. the MC isn't the smartest person or even close to being in that echelon. there are probably millions of people at the minimum who realize what it takes to survive and grow stronget
