This is such a soft and tender side of their dynamic, their understanding and the raw emotions they feel. I just wanna know how Savannah's feeling rn, because even tho she's only slightly conscious, i swear her heart is flipping again and again. And Leo, ugh, even tho I'm not single, i feel like I'm missing something because my boyfriend lives far away ๐ข๐ this book truly affects my emotions and I'm so happy this wonderful book exists
Pressing his lips against Savannah's bruised own, he kissed her softly as the tears continued rolling down his cheeks. He kissed Savannah, taking a second every so often to whisper 'it's okay, you're gonna be okay,' and 'I'm so sorry' over and over again. He kissed the bruises covering Savannah's face, even over the girl's delicate eyelids.

He couldn't take it. Everything about this moment, for some reason, overwhelmed him, and Leo gave in to the sudden urge to just press his forehead against Savannah's as though the closeness was the only thing that could calm him right now.
