The problem was, doing this meant they would be enemies of the Balde family, which would make it, so Quinn had another large target on his back. Vorden and Sil just didn't want to do that to Quinn.

You know that means at one point a family that could take a consciousness from killing someone thought they could fight the blades family. I find that hilarious.
While down there, he had touched a Chained with the said ability to transfer consciousness. Soon after, he had poisoned him to release him from a slow death. When falling to his own death, he touched Sil's skin allowing the ability to last for a full 24 hours.

Agreed. Even if the first leader has allies it is clear that they arent willing to go as far as him. Outing this plot would slowly start to sow discourse among The firsts own allies
It was the first leader. For some reason, he was trying to frame him. If Quinn tried to make any moves against him now, there were too many people who were on his side. They would think Quinn was making it up or an excuse. Now he would have to be cautious as there were more things to worry about then just beasts and humans.

I have to agree that from most perspectives making her a princess again might be a bit much. However, it still accomplishes most goals you could want from a political perspective. You now have a princess from another kingdom as a potential bargaining tool. A potential bridge to gap the human-beastkin divide. You also now make it less likely she would try to leave. However, this could also be achieved by making her an ambassador or some other title. Giving her a Royal title presents some other problems that only really seem worth it if you are trying really hard for beastkin and human equality.

I never thought of that before its a oretty Good theory. However, it doesnt explain why the healing seems to work slowly and we can see it healing. if it was time related it would be even more instant then the current healing we know of. I like to think of it more as immortality, but I dont know how accurate that would be either.
