Perfectly serviceable smut fic for any of Zent's fans who didn't like Heir of Aurelian, or just simply looking to go somewhere with the ending of Tyranny of Steel. Plot is kinda bogged down by smut, but that's the only flaw.

Well the prison guard probably has a standing order to, ya know, shoot dead any prisoner who tries to, or does kill another prisoner. Heinz and crew are probably very aware of this. And undoubtedly one of the female prisoners in the camp gets daily check-ups.

In between these bunkers was a series of heavily fortified trench systems where thousands of soldiers stood by watching, and waiting for the slightest disturbance within their vicinity.

in their most simplest form, an arq(k)uebus is basically just a rifle barrel plus a burning cord that was used to ignite gunpowder in the barrel via a small hall. Nothing too complex, just a barrel, a well placed hole, and a burning cord attached to the trigger mechanism.
After all, Berengar was the largest supplier of arms and armor to the Byzantine Empire. Though they had begun to have success in replicating the Arkebuse, most of their weapons still came from Austria. Meanwhile, relations with the Holy Roman Empire were tenable at best.
