Now this is interesting. Your comment sent me down a rabbit hole of grammar. "Gotten" seems to be used in American English according to most of the sites I encountered. Source: https://oneminuteenglish.org/en/have-got-vs-have-gotten/ I'm using UK English so I will stick to "got" as a past participle. In this case I will be using the present perfect tense (have got) instead of the past perfect tense (had got) because playing the game is something that happened in the past but is still happening now for Diana and Joshua.
