Maybe this aunt of yours put a spell on the mask .....

After 2 days, I could notice some abnormal behavior in my Lil brother. He would never remove his mask until and unless it is for lunch or breakfast or dinner. Unlike the playful brother, I have always known him as this new Lil brother I was seeing now was different. He was always in his room. Even when I tried to make a deal with him to give him a new video game instead he had to give me his mask, he had refused the offer. He just replied with a 'No'.And it got worse since he was wearing it to even school, and even when my parents wanted to take it from him. He wouldn't flinch and just say 'My mask,...MINE !!!'

I was gifted a book and my brother was gifted a mask. My little brother thought that the strange mask was COOL. And so he wore it and went like he was the ancient Egyptian Monarch. My aunt had a satisfied look. So I thought maybe that evil smirk was just my imagination. But still the book she gifted me looked like it was covered in some purple dark shades and made me want to run away from it. But I still offered my thanks to Aunt Eville and took the book to my room. I just wanted to keep it somewhere I would never see it again. So I kept it on the old books shelf.

Ryan is acting like a stubborn child

The first book he took got his hopes up as it did not contain carnivores in them but the year it was published was in the year 2000. And that was not falling into Liam's 20 years of missing information. At this point, Ryan just wanted to not admit defeat to the author of 'normal animal' and took every book he could find and skimmed through them from the section of 'normal animals'.

"This book puts bears and lions in the normal category. Wow the author of this 'normal animal' is certainly not normal", Ryan chuckled. He had not believed in the intermediate book and thought that it was just a scam by a person who had a very creative imagination.

Liam was very good at hiding his emotions. Maybe it was because of how he grew up, he rarely shows emotions to other people and often puts up walls. Ryan was one of the few people Liam let inside of his wall.

The story has a nice plot. The character design is also good. If the author improves their grammar and their writing style, this novel would be something to look forward to.
