ch 22 The Charm
The author has clearly improved in the world building since my last review, helping us deeper understand this new fantasy world Oliver is living in. I’d recommend using character design to tell us more about each character instead of using dialogue to tell us more about everyone, as it would feel more natural. The author has definitely a good feel on how to end the chapter with the reader wanting to know more, telling us enough to understand what’s going on but also leaving enough mystery to leave the reader questioning if there are some hidden deeper meanings. I heavily enjoy the darker undertones as Oliver slowly loses his sanity, as well as the comedic moments with the King of Familiars ability. Overall, an amazing read that keeps you invested for the next chapter onwards.
Celestial Streamer is a story where the main character is transported into a video game, while not an entirely new concept, the execution is rather original. The story so far seems to be willing do dive into the deeper side of things, which I heavily enjoy in story-telling. World building is great so far to help the reader picture the world in their own imagination. Although, I think putting a bit more detail in each character's design would benefit the story greatly. The dialogue feels a bit forced, however that could just be me being nit-picky. The plot is great so-far, it's got me hooked already. Would recommend to anyone that wishes they could live in an action game, cause a lot of gamers do nowadays.
