the author is so indecipherable. why make a book where the protagonist is opressed by a natzhe regime if you are a natzhe? In his other book the protagonist had a person of color wife who was described as mature too. there is also other things i think that the most probable thing is that the author is inserting his ideology in the protagonist of both his books. this would mean not a full on nazhe. But a person with some questionable ideas which approch it. besically that one paragraph of the protagonist where he said that he disagreed with the government but not enough to want too flee the confederation of human systems.

i think this is a little harsh. in 1760 the world had roughly 770 milion people. this means that in 250 years the human race multiplied 10 fold. thus after 500 years if nothing changes the population from now would multiply 100 fold. thus 8 hundred trillion. this fails to account for this scocieties reproduction rate etc. thus instead of stupid i would call it a slight strech which can be explained.
In other words, the lives of trillions of people were in the hands of Erich's father. Despite the immense power that the man wielded, he had never shown any favoritism towards his children. The Germanic Star-Empire was a society based upon merit. As such, nepotism was a serious offense, even in its most benign forms.
