As someone who read other books from this author, this one is really different. The plot develops slowly but is worth the wait. One thing I enjoy about this novel is ambiguity of characters. No one is truly righteous. They all feel like real humans who can make mistakes. I feel like the MCs will have a revolutionary past reveal later in the story which might change the course of the plot. I'm so excited to see their past. All in all, great story, slower pacing but not boring, great world building, and superb character design. Give it a read!

Ummm 👀
They all stood in line hoping no one would get the dino plushie before them. Plus, why would someone want a pink, big dinosaur with big golden eyes in their room anyway.

Oh my, Haneul ssi 👀👀
Haneul squinted her eyes shut before she saw Yeom Tae's surprised and flustered expression. She let her lips fall onto his before anyone could interrupt. While both her hands cupped his face tightly into place, her lips made sure to get a taste of him while they still had a chance.

It was the same book she had seen last time when she had come with Yeom Tae. 'Volatile Words' from an anonymous reader. Though she hated philosophy, she decided to purchase the book since it had poetry and the cover of the book was very aesthetic. It was a pure black cover with a golden font, handwritten too.

She shook the thoughts off her mind and finished the treatment by bandaging his wound. She resembled her first aid kit and quickly stood up to leave. Just when she walked a step further, Yeom Tae grabbed her wrist and raised an eyebrow. She looked at him in confusion and gulped. He curled the side of his lips into a smirk and let her hand go right away, reaching in for his shirt and wearing it instead.

His arms are tired yo!
"My arms are tired, doctor." Yeom Tae complained in his husky, distinguished voice which never let Haneul escape.

He had also lost a significant amount of blood so she needed to arrange blood too. For now, she thought of preparing him a rich yet light meal. She knew nothing about cooking though.

Before leaving, her eyes caught the first-aid kit she had brought. She grabbed it and went back to the car; leaving no soldier behind.

Okay, I have a lot to say about this book because this was reuploaded and I did read a few extra chapters from the earlier version. For world building, I'd say that it's explained pretty easily. Even if you don't read Xianxia works, this is easy to understand. Almost all the terms are explained well because the Male lead is as clueless as us. I really like the addition of Chinese addressing terms. I think those are cool to read, and the novel might not be as interesting without the terms. For character design, I must say that the author put a lot of work into the characters. They're absolutely perfect. All of them have their good and bad sides. My fav is Hai (ifykyk). The only thing I'm waiting for is the mentioned "connection" between ML and FL. I'm so curious about their past tbh and can't wait for it to uncover, altho i can tell it'll take a while. Great read tbh, can't wait for more!
