With regards to the roots, I thought that Jia could generate it from anywhere in his body and could easily retract it. I was imagining a scene were Jia would attack using vines and pierce his opponent then absrob them that way, like a straw or a vacuum. My thought process regarding his wood ability wasn't that complicated or deep. Also I didn't word it properly, so what I meant by explode was Jia would extend his wood appendage thing from within in different directions or maybe just enlarge it and burst the enemy from the inside out. (no pun intended) I guess I tend to overestimate plant zombie king Jia.

I definitely love it when you write stuff like this. (Though my wincing face would disagree). The horrific descriptions, manipulative and cruel Jia Hyson, a sprinkle of comedy. And Jia committing a one-sided massacre, but his opponents fight back a little. (I remember the 13 ghosts arc, and at some point I was just trying to get over it because Jia is OP and the kids obviously can't fight back)On another note, I have to ask though, does Jia have to bite or eat with his mouth to get another being's energy? The scenes are good presented like this of course. But I was thinking, can't he use roots/tentacle like vines to absorb another being? 'Cause he'd always have to wait till he killed his opponent to replenish his energy.Also, since he can pierce his enemies with his wood ability can't he just explode them from the inside through it or something?

Okay, I definitely should read further before commenting.
What Jia Hyson was looking intently at now was the feedback from their photoshoot, which seemed to be full of raving reviews and had a huge burst in CP fans, with many sensing a 'sexual tension' in the couple shots. He was both amused and soaking up the various compliments narcissistically. "What? Yeah, I guess I'll let a horse ride me."

To be perfectly honest, your works sometimes toe the line actually. I just enjoy them so much that I don't think too much when I read and I don't notice if it were ever or becomes kinda problematic. I'm gonna go off topic here as an example: Case in point: Harry-Death's physical age in Be the Death of Me and him being sexually active. Can't think of an example from our scummy mc's story. Like I said earlier, I turn my remaining brain cells off and just immerse myself with reading. It really is a pretty common experience to be compared by parental figures to other kids. So I thought that they'd feel that they're not alone in that experience and there's nothing inherently wrong with them. And whenever you make those explanations it always is in relation to a comedic scene. So it really is a wonder they were triggered or offended by it. They really must be going through something to go from 0-100. Because that's not the first time something like themes of inadequacy and parental expectations are mentioned.
Btw speaking of having issues, I also got a very awful comment which I will put in the paragraph comment here ah~ I would like to say, I was very surprised and shocked when I got it, I thought omg what scene could have triggered this person to say these things- and when I saw my shock went to "..." very fast. The person was triggered by the explanation I gave last chapter about how some parents compare their children with other children.

They have a right to express their feelings but they don't have the right to say those things to you. Just to be clear, I'm not saying they can't be angry, frustrated, disappointed or whatever manner of emotions they are feeling at the moment. If they were triggered, the appropriate response would be calmly explaining that your words triggered them without needing to use foul words and lashing out at you - the person who unintentionally caused them to be triggered. They should have a look at themselves and reflect on their actions. Since attention has been brought to this issue, this might not be the first or the last time someone would be triggered by something you write. Putting a warning or disclaimer won't be enough to prevent this from happening again. Since we have no way of knowing what triggers everyone. We could only let it sort itself out after it happens.

It does and I agree. That reply was just to clarify what I previously meant. It's just me wondering about the extent of Jia's powers, you don't really have to include them. But yeah not too OP is better and definitely preferable. I just get enthusiastic about Jia (shrug). But yeah I like reading Jia as command center and nursery for his plants. And also about the abilities, the descriptions and scenes of his plants too.Jia's strategizing while beating up his enemies, so definitely not too OP. He plans like the plotter that he is, doesn't rely on brute strength but using his plants strategically, taking into account their strengths and weaknesses when deploying them to attack or defend from enemies. It's all in character of him too.I also like that he has a handicap(s?) but it definitely sucks for him to have it be brain fog. Despite how strong he is, he needs his brain power as much as his plant one. On another note, I like to imagine the plants evolving like Pokemons when they get an upgrade.
