I'd be more interested in if the apiderlings would be sapient too.

An army of minions that could grow ever stronger would be incredibly powerful, but I would run into much of the same issues. I'm surprised Kealyna hasn't told Cellestra that she makes her smile. It might not be the same, but I bet it would make Cellestra pretty happy to hear.

I waved at her and took in her smile and engraved it in my mind as I left. I was looking forward to one day being able to return a smile, whatever it may look like.

i think wanting to help others is kind of logical in and of itself

I stood up in my half-dazed state and climbed into her bed. Out of pure impulse, I enhanced my healing light spell to its next level. There was no logic behind that decision and it scared me. No logic other than badly wanting to help this suffering elf.
