"ouch!" I almost let out a scream while rubbing my back. I got up, rubbed my bleary eyes and again went straight to bed. I hugged my pillow tightly and murmured "oh my Edward " (Edward was my favourite character from the novel 'The twilight saga' by Stephanie Meyer and yes, I had a crush on him )

They looked into my eyes, opened their mouth and bared their teeth. I was frozen at my place. They were armed with two-inch-long canines. My throat dried out having a glance at their teeth, my voice choked and my eyes filled with tears. They warned me with a grunt. Fear grimaced me accompanied by a scream and mechanically, my legs started running with full strength. All I wanted is to escape from these aggressive Rhesus. They faked a lunge toward me with a shrill. I didn't look back, I was running with all the vitality I had.

She looked so innocent while sleeping just like a child. I tried to twitch her slightly so that she could let go of my hand but it was like pulling an octopus off its prey. I grabbed a pillow and replaced it with my hand slowly.

I looked at Ashi who was lost in her own thoughts, not sure what was roaming around in her head but to be sure, her mind was absent somewhere. Perhaps she was upset with me. I should not have scolded her that much. After all, she was a human too and not a God that she had to do everything perfectly.

It was a gloomy night engulfed with darkness all around. I saw Ashi panting heavily under the shade of a tree. Her eyes were crushed near and she looked timid. I hurried to her lest it could be too late to be with her. Although I was far from her yet I could hear her whining. She was struggling with some unseen thing that I couldn't see clearly. More it seemed like there was no one and she was just shrieking and flapping her hands vigorously.

"wait!? what nonsense I am spouting? shut up you foolish! uffff...again you have started. what it is? nothing... it's nothing...stop thinking nonsense." I scolded myself. What was wrong with me? I was not sure why my heart felt so heavy out of the blue, it felt like I had been so numb for those last years I spent and woke up just then. "I saw...eyes...two beautiful eyes...the colour was not something that could be found easily. They were hazel eyes with gold flecks. The softest brown colour of all, infused with gold as if it held the sun glistening on the ground where anyone could rest and breathe. Those two eyes were staring at me with some impenetrable desire that didn't electrify but actually petrified my body. Everything was vague and engulfed with darkness except the eyes."

Meanwhile, Mom served the breakfast and we planted ourselves on the dining table. It was a four-seated French-polished dining table set in the right corner of the kitchen. The aroma hit my nose, I couldn't dawdle anymore so, swiftly took a toast and started spreading peanut butter on it. I chewed a mouthful of bite silently and washed it down with a slug of oat milk. Watching everyone eating silently, dad took the initiative of breaking the silence.

"Yeah! dad, teach something to this silly brat!", Sidhi got the words out through a morsel. I shot a glare at her. I was speechless how she dared call me silly just like that. I could only whine about why she used to be so nosey in my matters like she was all perfect.
