also I'm assuming it will take a while for him to regain hi original power(being sealed and all) so try to explore more of his manipulative and demonic side Imp- all of this is just a suggestion though never stray away from your original idea cause of readers wish/pressure I have seen many stories go downhill that way

also please dont have him go to kuoh academy, it always irritates me when a mc is all powerful and old but still go there. like the world of dxd is very vast and all these mythologies and stuff you can utilize..
