I really enjoy the story but the pace of the novel is really slow around the first few chapters, and it got extremely boring when they first got to the vampire world. The power scaling is also really terrible, like when vorden was somehow able to 1v1 a vampire knight without any abilities or how Borden would one-shot vampire knights even though Nathan stated that human Leo could beat a 3 spiked dalki and human Leo said that he was equal in strength to silver, who is a vampire knight. We also have the fact that Layla, Cia, and Erin were somehow able to fight against a vampire LORD. The fact that a humanoid demi-god tier beast was struggling to finish a mech. Sure the driver was very skilled and the beast didn't want to kill people but the demi-god tier beast can destroy the mech in less than a second. There are more examples of the terrible power levels and how they don't make sense at all. The author also tries too hard to make Layla useful when really none of the things she does should even happen. An example of this is her new undeserved sword, her 4th form, the Qi she has, and the fact that she could 1v1 Helen after a week of training. There are so many flaws in the novel but the pros easily overshadow the cons. Arthur and Hilston's fight was probably the best one we have witnessed so far, and Arthur himself is a GIGACHAD. Quinn vs the duke was easily the most satisfying fight I have seen. Leo and chris vs the 4 spiked was also an exciting fight. The action in the novel is amazing, and I 100% recommend.
