Heyy, It may look inconsistent because I haven't fully dived into Zee's story. The narrator and Zee at this moment share the same perspective hence the narration. But the more you read, the better you understand.

"That's the stuff" Andrew sniffs a whitish substance from the backseat of the vehicle urging his friend to do the same. The bus rumbled down the winding road, carrying its cargo of rowdy passengers to their destination. Inside, Bjorn laughs at how stupid his friend acted towards the substance. He takes it from Andrew "let me show you how it's done”. They laugh again causing stares from others.

"You may continue" Father spoke authoritatively. He came to watch his son fight, to know if he was ready. R10 has been training since he was six along with the people he was fighting and now is twelve years old. He needed to know if the training was enough and if his son was ready for what was coming. Meanwhile R10 was trying to understand what has just happened. Did Father come to watch him fight? He grew nervous and for a moment lost concentration but was jotted back when H2 swung his axe directly in the face of R10 which he immediately dodged. Again, H2 pounced and time he twisted to his back when he used his elbow to strike him. Falling to the ground R10 followed and continued putting pressure to the injured shoulder until H2 blacked out. He breathed a little heavier than before. But could not stop because Father was there to watch.
