The author is good at making up for so many plotholes or logical inconsistencies other writers make. every other school either stupidly leaves risk or ruthlessly allows risk in the name of survival of the fittest even if it means wasting many merely weaker but still valuable potentials.
The Scorpicore's help guaranteed that no student would be seriously harmed before being rescued. On top of that, such a powerful guardian defending the academy was worth far more than just meat.

doesn't even make sense though, since in theory the teachers don't let students die, so it would be insane if the monsters consistently managed to hunt students.
"Finally some fun! Alert all the dens, I hereby declare the game season open!"

what's this from?
Having lost half her points in one go, she obeyed.

I feel with this, I had an issue with people staring at me or paying too much focus to me when I was a kid so I developed this extremely standoffish "aura". my whole default body language and facial expression tends to be super unapproachable.
"But Like Friya, it's also my first time being away from home, surrounded only by strangers. It helped me realize that I spent so many years hunting in the wild, that I forgot how to act like a human. Be honest with me, do I glare a lot?"

I work in a school and can tragically attest to this, so many kids will not take their lessons seriously, simply because it's cool not to do so.
'Damn! Now I remember why back on Earth I never took a babysitter job, unless I was desperate for money. Kids are so annoying, always worried about what others think of them, obsessing themselves with the stupidest things.'

A lot of people commenting don't get the point, yes in real training it's silly to have the rule, but the issue is MC is waay stronger than his opponents, so his one hit victories basically amount to him showing off and then putting down his opponents, and not giving him any useful experience either way.
"In a real-life situation that would be good, but this is just an exercise, where I lost control of my pride and bloodlust. I risked leading the others by example, making them so focused on winning that they would not learn from their fights or those of the others."
Fantasy · Legion20
honestly, at this point it gets weird, when we were still in the complete medieval setting, paper being highly valuable made sense. but when this level of magic technology is introduced, you'd think a paper producing magic machine would've been fairly simple, considering elemental magic is the most basic form.
Vastor's heart bled at the idea of wasting so much paper, but he couldn't make a single copy of the report just for Quylla. The other students would have complained about such blatant discrimination.

definitely having a forceful reproach wouldn't work in the long run, but setting a violent counterforce in the beginning when you're job is to flip a system that's rooted to the core it's pretty much the only form.
'By my maker!' Solus was blown away. 'Now I finally understand! Headmaster Linjos didn't choose his staff based on physical appearance. He replaced the old professors with talented people that have been victims of the system in the past!

I mean, when you consider that a single fully fledged magician is equivalent to a small army, it can be considered a reasonable investment. plus "team" might mean just one or two.
"It's an open secret in the Court, that once one gets admitted to an academy, a full team of royal spies watch their loved ones 24/7. That serves the purpose of protecting them from internal and external enemies.

at this point it's pretty clear that, even though it's been a casual implication so far, the Queen is the head honcho and matriarch of the kingdom.
The Duke had defended his son's action until the verdict and ended up serving the same sentence. The Queen had stripped him of his title and all of his possessions, passing them to the next of kin.

"decision to marry outside the family"
He had left home as soon as he turned sixteen, announcing his decision to perform voluntary military service and marry outside the family, leaving Tista to inherit the farm and the house.

my favourite inbetween compromise is elegant magicians who wear impeccable suits. Klein from LOTM is my favourite example.
'I said this back on Earth and I'll repeat it now. Mages' fashion sense sucks. Capes and robes are idiotic to wear. They make it too easy to grab and slam around like a carpet.'
Fantasy · Legion20
magic association wipes out a whole family for having an apprentice being threatened. imagine if some backwater noble manages to kidnap a full status magician.
"Nerea is a close friend to both of us. Koya's plan would make sense if Lady Nerea wasn't the strongest magician in all the County. Not to mention that even if the plan succeeded, the result would be disastrous anyway."
Fantasy · Legion20
it's a nice change of pace that one of the earlier villains isn't some impeccable and cunning schemer that requires the MC to suddenly turn into a perfect Sherlock to defeat. far more logical too.
The Countess could only curse herself for always ignoring her husband's hobbies. She had no idea who Nana was, or what repercussions messing with her could have. Koya knew nothing about magic, except what her cousin, Genon told her in the past.
Fantasy · Legion20
so basically the mage association is probably the top power in the kingdom, maybe allowing a superficial submission or equal standing to the royal court, but probably being the real true power.
"They hate when some small-time noble messes with us. Before I put this back into the drawer, their whole bloodline will be wiped out. That will teach all those damn nobles a lesson."
Fantasy · Legion20
why are they saying "*just* another Gu Changge" Gu Changge would have had the title of the strongest young daoist in the Azure region anyways if Kuangren hadn't defeated him, considering he already took on the other 6 major sects.
For some time, Chu Kuangren has become a target of scrutiny for all the Sky-prides around the world. It did not matter whether the critics themselves were powerful, everyone had something to say about him, as if they themselves could look mightier doing that.

also the triple bodies thing is great, because as with every LN or story in general, you know your MC will never actually die or lose completely, but here it's actually possible that MC faces a considerable setback because the reason he's never in true danger is because he's careful with his prime body.
