Just calling her Aunt is weird. It's usually Aunt *first name*.
"Sorry, Aunt."

Not gonna lie I'm rooting for the thugs. If they were able to beat him, maybe Calyx will be smarter when interacting with people. But no, they're going to lose, sadly.
"Forget about them, and focus on you dying," Calyx said, his voice soaked in killing intent.

He wasn't the one who walked into another person though.
"Oh, now I know. You're the blind guy from this morning. What the hell do you want?" Calyx asked, his patience waning as he discovered the caller. Haze also began walking away as he heard that.

No you don't.
"Man, we really need to stop lying to her so much," Haze said.

Is it Hajin or Hajun?
"No, no it won't," Hajun replied, realizing what the man meant.
Sci-fi · omitted
Really like those names that start with Ha?
The car came to a stop, and a boy emerged—Hajin, the one who had been in an altercation with Calyx and Haze earlier. His face reflected his unhappiness as he walked into the building.

Calyx has been acting annoyingly irrational compared to his child self. Puberty?
"No, we have to prevent that tomorrow at all costs," Calyx said.

Calyx? The superhuman guy? Tired after running?
"Maybe I'll reschedule then," Halaine suggested, taking into account that they did seem tired. However, it was probably from all the running they needed to do to get to school before the gates closed.

Haze didn't think of this? The Quasar fanboy?
"So what better topic than Quasars?" Hal revealed, causing Calyx to almost choke on his apple juice.
Sci-fi · omitted
Nah I'm on the other dude's side here.
"Or you can just not be bloody blind?" Calyx retorted to the boy Halaine bumped into.
Sci-fi · omitted
I'm hoping there's a reasonable lore reason for this and it isn't just something made up for the plot.
However, Calyx's senses still didn't seem as sharp as Haze's, who maintained a significant advantage in understanding his surroundings and had an incredibly keen intuition, enough to surpass a Quasar like Calyx.

Calyx can't catch a break.
"God's judgment has befallen this universe, but we must not run from it," the man's voice sounded loudly through the night, amplified by the megaphone.

I'm thinking more like isle.
"Hello, Calyx. My name is Dr. Aile," a woman clad in a long white lab coat said as she gently pushed open the door and entered the room.

I'm guessing like cal-ix
"Calyx," the kid replied simply.

I mean why not?
"While I'm sure that display of violence has turned you off to what I'm about to propose," the angel spoke up, "even though your species has been sentenced to extinction, we are not unfeeling. We have procedures in place to ensure this is a happy and painless end. So if you would all gather yourselves into an orderly line we can begin PEACEFULLY-"

I hate exclamation marks next to normal sentences of which a period would fit infinitely better.
It wouldn't be a stretch to deduce that he hailed from an affluent family!

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH ITS BACK LETS GOOO!
Hi there—before reading, let's quickly talk about a thing or two! It's been 10 months since the last chapter, which is a long time—just how many of you are still here, patiently waiting after all this time?—many or not, here's a chapter! Now, does this mark the return of Cheater? Errr—no!—not in the slightest! You might see a chapter here and there, but at best it will be a once-in-a-few-weeks thing!—take or leave it; the best I can do in my current situation. Next, we need to talk about the deleted 4 chapters (if you were here for that long): to put it in simple words, the story took an unexpected turn and I wasn't happy with how things progressed—so I deleted 4 whole chapters, just like that! This is the official continuation of the story and, what can I say, hopefully the me 10 months later can live up to the standards you're used to! Thank you for waiting and enjoy the read, everyone!

Why though? He mentioned that he felt a disconnect from his family as is and he never met his dad.

Nobody. My family is actually pretty great, but I don't place any extra importance on them.
"Oh! They must have suffered so much," Amelia said, her eyes watering as she listened to the story of the twins. Despite her persona of being indifferent, which she copied from Asher, deep down she was a very emotional girl. Damian knew that she intentionally hid her true self and always wore a fake mask, but he decided not to question her about it.
