Awesome rewrite. The backstory shows how difficult it is for normal people to face monsters and stick to the easier path compared to life or death battles. One question I have is about the Returners. How does Kai’s return affect his past world. Is Dean still successful in a parallel reality. If it’s a known method, how do the returners affect the tutorial. Or are they only able to return with the new upcoming wave.

Apophis reminds me of lelouch lamperouge from Code Geasss. It’s very entertaining to see the different plots he makes to get the best result. Apophis is a player who throws the standard choices out the window. Keep up the great work, author!
