Nick knew that they weren't lying as he was healthy however he had reached the part of his transformation where his bone marrow , organs and flesh was starting to be replaced by elven versions. While this was going on his body was violently rejecting his human parts causing this strange situation. It caused quite the sensation throughout Hogwarts as despite madam Pomfrey's , Snape's and even Dumbledore's best efforts Nick didn't improve much at all. If it wasn't for the fact that all of them found that the strange illness wasn't life threatening for Nick he would have been sent to Saint Mungos for further examination and treatment.-

The main source of Harry's Level ups had been defeating monsters that roamed around the Tutorial Village. Whenever a monster died, it dissolved into particles of grey light which was considered Death Energy and Harry could absorb them. Once he absorbed enough energy to reach a specific threshold, Harry's level increased. The FAQ stated that when Harry leveled up, his Obscurus particles would replicate themselves using the external energy they had absorbed. However, the Obscurus particles he was composed of could not absorb just any energy. The energy he absorbed had to be dominated first. The monsters around the village were composed of energy of the afterlife and defeating them was what allowed Harry to absorb them in a way that his Obscurus particles could replicate themselves. Of course this meant that Harry had to actually fight them.

Often the space they were in would change to a classroom and they pulled out books to read with Harry and wrote things on a blackboard to go over with Harry. Other times the space would turn into a living room with cable tv and a selection of his parent's favorite movies. The space could even change into a game room with an arcade and several game stations of various generations with many dozens of video games, both retro and new.

He brings his arm up and channels Armament Haki which causes it to turn black, the claw harmlessly bounces off of his arm as he uses her own sword to stab at her, it approaches her throat and as it's about to end her life he stops it.

There were newer places of taint however, these ones were subject to a different personality than the other, making Kali nervous for the state Harry would be in once he awoke... The huge amount of foreign emotion and taint to his soul would've killed or irreparably crippled a regular person, but Harry was saved by some kind of spiritual shield that'd protected him against the brunt of it... She hadn't actually noticed its presence before simply because it was entirely beneficial to Harry. Along with her being unfamiliar with this kind of soul magic especially...
