Because it is hard to destroy a target that is full of gaps (like a skeleton) with a spear that focuses its leathal force into a small area because you could stab right through its ribs and do no damage or you could hit a rib and stab through it but that is only one rib, wile a hamer has a larger impact so you can swing it and hit a rib crushing it as well as the next 3 ribs.(summary: trying to poke holes is something already full of holes is not effective, solution … smash it with something big and heavy
While Archer could send an infinite amount of spears directly at Ainz's head and not leave a scratch, should that treasury of his happen to have a few powerful hammers, Ainz would not be allowed much room for mistakes.
