Ahaha, that's very fair to point out and I get where you're coming from. Most of what I read feature magic heavily and i get tired of it from time to time myself which is why I think I find myself drawn to this particularly because of how in depth it gets with the laws and systems it runs on😅. Oops, I think I misread slightly😅, I think the point stands for a lot of it, but I also don't know what the difference between these specific ones are.

I think mana is like the be all end all for every 'energy' encountered in the different worlds. I might be misremembering, but I think Akasha explained at the start something along those lines. I think it's mainly the individual world wills that change the mana into these different derivations and once they're brought into the record mana once again reigns supreme. I think at least😅.

I think it kinda has to do with this karmic scale that's going on, I imagine Roy like elenwen is more grey than anything and she was let go when the attack on the embassy happened if I remember correctly. Also, his thoughts show genuine remorse and disdain towards the acts he's commiting (not that it excuses them) and to my knowledge this is also his first time on the front line, actively engaging in the killing of innocents compared to killing deserters and serial killers in the line of duty as said before. People like giolio however are straight up yeeted into the black star.

A decent enough point, but my point still stands that the highest existences in the majority of popular fictional worlds are metaphysical in nature and I too, have read stories where things not have flesh have achieved feats of a similar nature. At the end of the day arguments can very easily be made for both our viewpoints and I don't honestly think either is wrong, but after reading enough stories in which the mc never explores anything beyond their own self, I find myself personally drawn to this story and this path the character is taking because it is something different from that (and I have a personal interest in anything to do with TES lore so seeing it explore is great😅). I imagine you've read ahead though at this pointbecause I did reply to a 2 month old comment, so hopefully you've seen the authors notes about all this and you concerns are layed to rest. They've said themselves that this isn't truly spiritual in nature, it's not like he's turned into a spirit as we imagine them, but something more in a way and I think the talk he had with the godhead/dreamer and the observer anumay kind of shows the true scope of what he's really achieved as a result of doing the ritual. That and it's been explicitly stated in the chapter when it's all finished and by the author themselves that the bones, muscles and heart transformation all remain and the mc can retain a physical form at will, that couple with the new ignorant man title I hope puts to rest any concerns about any kind of inherent weakness that may come with this 'spiritual' form. Also, Harry Potter, naruto and rwby as much as I love them, are after reaching a point like this in a universe such as TES will never live up to the standards this story has maintained up until this point and have much simpler and boring (just in comparison lore wise) powers systems which wouldn't be as exciting to explore as in depth.

I think this argument honestly falls flat when you consider any of the strongest beings in these universes are in fact themselves immaterial and inorganic in someway shape or form whilst also ignoring the fact that no matter what form or shape he would take there is arguably always a counter for that. If he remained organic there are just as many ways to slap him down with your argument. I also think these arguments generally ignore the ideas of what actually went on here, he's breaking past barriers that allow him to stand as an existence more and more incomprehensible with each one he passes that any capital G God of any universe we see in fiction has long since superceded and therefore has no need to concern itself with. The dreamer of TES, The One Above All, The Presence, Azathoth, heck maybe even Akasha itself. The issue I think that always pops up in any discussion or exploration into topics such is these is that we always inherently try to tie some mortal understanding to it all when in all honestly, it will always be something beyond that. Incomprehensible, unapproachable and insurmountable until it is ever actually experienced.
