After a long carriage ride, they reach some type of dock. The carriage owner tells Lena that the fastest way to reach her destination is one of those boats here but he doesn't know which one exactly, Lena pays the man for the ride then goes around asking. "hello sir." Lena said to the short middle-aged man sitting on a boat while smoking. "eh? what do need young woman?" the man replied. "can you please tell me how I can reach jawf village?" Lena asked the middle-aged man. The middle-aged man raises his head and then points at the boat that is the smallest among all the other boats. Lena raised her eyebrows in response to the old man's silent action and bows as thanks before heading to the boat.

on the way there the 6-year-old girl tries talking to Lena "hello miss." said the girl while she slowly got herself closer to lena. "ah, please call me lena." said lena surprised by her sudden approach. "lena, are you going to the festival too?" said the little girl. "yup, it's gonna be my first time you know." replied lena. "first time?!?! really?!?!" said the surprised little girl. "yeah, where I'm from we didn't have much money to have festivals so they never happened." said lena. "oh....and you lived there without festivals forever?" said the girl. "well not forever, I did leave 4 years ago." replied kouko. "4 years?!?! why?!" said the girl surprised again. "well... "why" surely is a deep question haha... if I'm gonna answer that only thing I can say is. I found my own thing that I want to stay with and protect how about that." said lena as she got completely ignored by the girl who was excited to ask her the next question.

"8 months into your mother's pregnancy a notice had been placed on the village's board. The noticed said that a group of adventurers had discovered that a large group of monsters are preparing to raid the village and that their estimated raid day would be 9-10 days from now. Along with the notice many carriages were parked at the villages entrance so that if anyone wanted to leave until the raid was over they could. You see your father was in no way poor, but your mother had entered a dangerous phase in her pregnancy so her riding a carriage would be very risky for you with how bumpy the roads are and your parents weren't ready to take the risk of losing you. The notice did say that a group of adventurers will be dispatched during the day of the raid, but it was still a dangerous gamble to stay. your father made up plan on that day he went on the day of the notice with the carriages to the capital it took him 4 days to arrive there. As soon as he got there he started looking for us (his old party) and explained his situation which after he begged us to help him stand ground at the village during the raid. We agreed reassuring him that his family is our family which left a huge smile on his face as he slowly teared up. After preparing everything we needed for the raid we left towards the village and arrived a day before the raid.
