It would probably be something like a god of creation or something similar since technically it is the first existence in that universe.
He would contemplate anything and everything he could think of, even going beyond what would be normally possible for a human soul's mind. His mental strength improved drastically from this, shaping for himself an organized mind that responded to his very will. He even felt that the swirls of energy around him were some kind of response to his mind's wish, as they would appear in greater frequency when he focused his will to action.

I think it goes very well with Voldemort, he was the most disgusting and malevolent being in the world of Harry Potter so the ritual would have to have been really disgusting, besides the author never said what was needed to create horcruxes and that's what she wants To say that it was really horrible, at least in my opinion.
That is why I decided to go more sinister and heinous about his horcrux creation which actually make it foul and dark even by Voldermort's standards. I may have overdone it but I felt it to be appropriate.
