Why does mc have claustrophobia?
After nearly dying of claustrophobia in the "elevator" (a metal box that moved you up and down the building so that lazy people didn't have to walk), I was dragged through the "eleventh floor" to a cozy waiting room, filled with cushy couches, and other such items of comfort. Ignoring the secretary at the front desk, we barged through the door labeled staff only to find a middle aged man in a lab coat taking a nap at his desk.

Not daring to anger her further, I kept quiet as she continued. "To pass the trial you usually have to reflect the God's symbolism in your being. For example, a test of honesty for a God that values the truth. A test of mind, to see the darkness of ones past. Or a test of bravery to face your foes head on, no matter how insurmountable they seem. Depending on the strength of your God when it was alive, you generally don't have to complete your trial, just prove that you are worthy of carrying their mantle (The stronger the God was the stricter the requirements). After passing you become a diver, a superhuman capable of wielding mana to your whims, and an apostle to the Gods.
